LANGWATHBY CEMETERY

The Parish Cemetery located north of Langwathby off Salkeld Road was created in 1961 to provide a burial place for residents of the Parish or those having a local connection.

Plots may be reserved in the cemetery by application to the Parish Council via the Parish Clerk.

Policy on Headstones
The maximum permissible height for a headstone is 30" (750mm) on a plinth of maximum height 6" (150mm), partly let into the ground. Maximum width: 24" (600mm). Proposed designs should be submitted to the Parish Clerk for approval in advance and should clearly indicate the dimensions.
